Halibut for Dinner

Linocut Print
Open Edition
Story
Typically 500+ feet below the surface of Resurrection Bay, and weighing anywhere from 30-160lbs (on our boat), halibut have become my favorite fish to catch! The process of reeling them in is grueling, and sometimes dangerous when they're finally on the boat, but the reward is weeks of meat and the joy of working hard for your food.
This is part of a small series that celebrates locally caught & gathered food, and the various ingredients it is prepared with.
Process
Hand carved linoleum block printed on 80gsm white washi paper with oil-based printmaking ink. Each piece of paper is hand torn with a deckled edge.
Paper Size - approximately 9 x 12 in
Image Size - 8 x 11 in
To Note
Due to the nature of hand carving and printing, each piece will vary slightly. This variation adds to the character of the print. Each piece is signed, titled, and editioned in pencil.
Does not include frame.
